Grand Teton National Park
The area around Grand Teton National Park is one of the most scenic places in the US. Just north of Jackson WY it has much better accommodation and restaurant options than most national parks.
The classic spots in the park from a photography standpoint are:
Mormon Row - an old wooden barn best photographed early in the morning with the Teton range in the background.
Schwabacker's Landing - another classic spot to catch the early morning or late afternoon reflections of the Tetons in the ponds at this location.
Two other excellent locations are Oxbow Bend and the Snake River Overlook.
The hike around Jenny Lake to Inspiration Point makes a nice day hike.
The Persephone Bakery in Jackson is a great breakfast spot
