Colorado

Garden of the Gods  Located in Colorado Springs there a great viewpoint on the north end of the loop drive that gives you a perfect angle for photographing the series of sharp peaks that run along the center of the park.

Maroon Bells  Just a ten minute drive from downtown Aspen brings you to a lake at the foot of the mountains. One of the most scenic spots in Colorado, especially during the fall.

Crystal Mill  This old wooden mill on a cliff above the Crystal river is another iconic location in Colorado to photograph, again best in the fall when the aspen trees are changing color. You can pay a guide in Marble to transport you to it in a 4WD Jeep as regular passenger cars are unable to drive this rocky road or just hike the 11 mile round trip.

Telluride Area  Arguably the best fall scenery is found in the Southwestern corner of the state. The Dallas Divide is a particularly nice stretch as it the area around Ouray.

Another good stretch of road is the Million Dollar Highway.
